The SatView mobile app (pl.appit.satview) does not require account creation and does not collect personal data such as your name, email address, or phone number.

Location

With your permission, the app reads your device’s current location to show a “you are here” marker on the satellite image. Your coordinates stay only in the app’s memory on your device and are never sent or stored anywhere else. You can disable this feature in the app’s layer settings.

Ads and advertising identifier

The app displays ads served by Google AdMob. To enable this, your advertising identifier (Advertising ID) is read and shared with Google for marketing purposes — namely, serving and measuring the performance of ads. This is the only category of data SatView transmits off your device.

You can reset or limit your advertising identifier independently of the app:

• Android: Settings → Google → Ads → “Delete advertising ID” or “Opt out of ads personalization”.
• iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, or Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising.

Legal basis and purpose of processing

The advertising identifier is processed on the basis of the legitimate interest of the data controller and of Google as the advertising service provider (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), and, where required by law, on the basis of your consent given through your device’s system settings. Location is processed only with your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you may withdraw at any time in your device settings.

Data fetched from the internet

The app fetches satellite imagery from sat24.com / Infoplaza based solely on the region you select — these requests do not include your location or any identifying data. All of the app’s network traffic uses encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections.

Recipients of data

The advertising identifier is shared with Google (Google AdMob) for the purpose of serving ads. We do not sell or share any data with any other party.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access your data, rectify it, request its erasure, restrict its processing, port it, and object to its processing, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO). Since SatView does not maintain user accounts, we do not hold any data we could delete on request — the only identifier tied to your device is the Advertising ID, which you manage directly through your system settings (see the section above).

Children

The app is not directed at children and is not knowingly designed to collect data from anyone under the age of 13.
